Today Viña Montes announced the pricing of its Initial Bottle Offering at Alti Wine Exchange for its Montes Folly 2011: 80 euros per bottle in bond (no taxes).
Montes Folly is the first ultra-premium Chilean Syrah wine, coming from a pioneering winery in Chile.
The tokens representing Montes Folly 2011 are expected to begin trading on Alti Wine Exchange on November 8th, 2019 under the ticker symbol “FOL” and the offering is expected to close on November 4, 2019.

Founded by Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray in 1987 in 1988 they added the two original partners Alfredo Vidauro and Pedro Grand. They settled in a area whose potential wasn’t discovered at the time but is now considered one of the best regions in Chile to make wine, the Colchagua valley. Chilean have generally been focusing on varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon or Carménère but Montes Viña focused on Syrah.
