Today Château Coutet announced the pricing of its Initial Bottle Offering at Alti Wine Exchange for its Cuvée Émeri 2016: 600 euros per bottle in bond (no taxes).
Out of only 300 bottles, Château Coutet, the first Grand Cru Classé of Saint Emilion back in 1855, is putting 150 bottles on offer through Alti Wine Exchange. Every numbered bottle has been individually hand-crafted by a master glassblower, following the finest French glass-making tradition and reproducing the 1750 very special bottle found by the family in the property, making every bottle even more unique.
The tokens representing Château Coutet Cuvée Émeri 2016 are expected to begin trading on Alti Wine Exchange on October 8th, 2019 under the ticker symbol “COT” and the offering is expected to close on October 2, 2019.

Adrien Beaulieu, from the oldest organic Saint-Emilion wine producer, Château Coutet, confirmed that Japan only has shown interest in buying this special Cuvée in bigger numbers than the quantity produced. There is no doubt that the worldwide interest for this wine is huge, but Adrien explained: ‘the reason I preferred to sell half of the production of our Cuvée Emeri through Alti is because it’s the only way that will allow multiple investors to have ownership of this unique wine at different price levels’. This extraordinary wine has a retail market price of 800 euros.
